Slider Ingredients
- 12 Hawaiian sweet rolls
- 6 ounces cream cheese, softened
- ½ cup pickled jalapeno peppers, diced
- 3 cups shredded cooked chicken
- 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
Butter Topping
- 2 tablespoons Challenge Butter Lawry’s Seasoned Salt Snack Spread
- Preheat Oven. Preheat your oven to 350˚F (175˚C) to prepare for baking the sliders.
- Mix Cream Cheese and Jalapenos. In a medium bowl, combine the softened cream cheese with the diced pickled jalapenos. Mix thoroughly until the jalapenos are evenly distributed throughout the cream cheese, creating a spicy, creamy spread.
- Assemble the Sliders. Slice the Hawaiian sweet rolls horizontally and place the bottom halves in a baking dish. Spread the jalapeno cream cheese mixture evenly over the bottoms. Then add the shredded chicken on top, pressing it gently into the cream cheese layer. Sprinkle shredded sharp cheddar cheese over the chicken. Finish by placing the top halves of the rolls back on.
- Slice the Sliders. Use a serrated knife to cut between each sandwich, separating them into individual sliders while still in the baking dish.
- Brush with Seasoned Butter. Melt the Challenge Butter Lawry’s Seasoned Salt Snack Spread and brush the melted butter generously over the tops of the sliders and between the rolls to enhance flavor and help achieve a golden finish.
- Bake Until Golden. Bake the assembled sliders for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the tops of the rolls are golden brown. Serve immediately while warm and gooey.
Notes
- You can substitute chicken with turkey or cooked pulled pork for variation.
- Adjust the amount of pickled jalapenos according to your spice preference.
- Using sharp cheddar cheese provides a nice balance to the creamy and spicy filling.
- For easier slicing, chill the assembled sliders briefly before cutting.
- These sliders are great served with a side of ranch or blue cheese dressing for dipping.
