Ingredients

Scale

Sliders

  • 12 Hawaiian rolls
  • 8 ounces thinly sliced ham
  • 4 ounces sliced provolone cheese
  • 3 ounces thinly sliced pepperoni
  • 3 ounces thinly sliced salami
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Grinder Salad

  • 8 ounces shredded lettuce
  • 1/2 cup diced tomato
  • 1/2 cup sliced pepperoncini peppers
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon red wine vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350˚F to prepare for baking the sliders, ensuring even melting and browning.
  2. Prepare the Rolls: Slice the Hawaiian rolls horizontally and lay the bottom halves in a baking dish to form the base for the sliders.
  3. Layer Ingredients: Place sliced provolone cheese over the bottom rolls, then layer the ham, pepperoni, and salami evenly on top. Replace the top halves of the rolls, then cut the assembled sandwich between each slider for easy serving.
  4. Make Butter Topping & Bake: Mix softened butter with grated parmesan, garlic powder, and salt, then spread this mixture evenly over the tops of the sliders. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes until the cheese melts and the tops turn golden brown.
  5. Prepare Grinder Salad: While sliders bake, whisk together mayonnaise, red wine vinegar, Italian seasoning, salt, pepper, and garlic powder to create a flavorful dressing. Toss shredded lettuce, diced tomato, and sliced pepperoncini peppers with the dressing until coated.
  6. Assemble and Serve: After baking, remove slider tops, add a generous amount of the grinder salad to each, then replace the tops. Serve the sliders immediately for best texture and flavor.

Notes

  • Use Hawaiian rolls for their sweet flavor which balances the savory meats and tangy salad.
  • You can customize the meats and cheese to your preference, such as adding turkey or using mozzarella.
  • For a spicier kick, add sliced jalapeños to the grinder salad.
  • These sliders are best served warm but can be reheated gently in the oven.
  • Make sure to slice the sandwiches before baking to keep them easier to serve.
