Vegetables
- 1 lb. green beans, trimmed
Dough & Cheese
- 1 (8-oz.) tube refrigerated Crescent dough
- 1 (9.5-oz.) wheel brie, cut into small squares
Seasoning & Others
- 2 tbsp. melted butter
- Kosher salt, to taste
- Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- Prepare the Oven and Green Beans: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the trimmed green beans until they turn bright green, about 3 minutes. Remove the green beans with a slotted spoon and immediately plunge them into a bowl of ice water to stop cooking and preserve their vibrant color. Drain well.
- Assemble the Bundles: Unroll the crescent dough and separate it into individual triangles. Place them on the prepared baking sheet. On each triangle, place a small square of brie cheese followed by a small bunch of the cooled green beans. Fold the pointed tip of the crescent dough triangle over the green beans and press gently to seal the bundle.
- Season and Bake: Brush each wrapped bundle generously with melted butter, then season with kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper according to your taste. Bake the bundles in the preheated oven until they are golden brown and the dough is baked through, approximately 20 minutes. Remove from the oven and allow to cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- Trimming the green beans evenly ensures consistent cooking.
- Chilling the beans in ice water after boiling preserves their crispness and color.
- Use a mild brie for a creamy texture without overpowering flavor.
- Brush with butter to enhance browning and add richness.
- Serve warm for best texture and taste.
- Can be prepared ahead and baked just before serving.
